This video encompasses US 6 westbound from where it is a limited access freeway in Windham to Columbia. There is a break, then the video picks up when US 6 & 44 meet the western terminus of I-384. From there, I went the whole length of I-384, briefly merged with I-84 and finally exited onto US 5/CT 15 to bypass Hartford to the south.

This is my first serious attempt at a speed/ time lapse road video. I sped up the video to 1100%. Also, the video looks MUCH better before youtube's horrible compression gets a hold of it. Comments/feedback are welcome.

  • The Von Bondies - C'mon, C'mon

  • I use Final Cut Express on Mac. You can adjust the speed by a percentage, in this case I used 1100% I know that you can do something similar with Adobe Premiere for PC.

  • @PikalaxALT The Berlin Tpke is the missing link. But once I-91 was commissioned to run between New Haven and Hartford, intersecting the originally-planned highway system, upgrading the Berlin Tpke was no longer necessary.

  • Originally, the Berlin Turnpike (CT-15/US-5) was supposed to be a limited access freeway between Meriden and Newington. It was planned as part of a long freeway system between Boston and the Bronx, which today includes the Hutchinson River Pkwy in Westchester County NY, the Merritt Pkwy in Fairfield County, and the Wilbur Cross Pkwy in New Haven County. The Wilbur Cross Hwy (CT-15 near Hartford and I-84 to the east) was also part of the planned highway between New York and Boston. ...

  • why is the audio not authorized? I mean it's a home production right? Is this American democracy. sorry I'm watching from Japan but I'm a Ct guy...thankx

  • What's that song called?

  • what software to use for that?

  • Nice video, Thanks for responding it!

I agree, I hate how You Tube over-compresses our videos.
