Press Conference in Trenton on May 31, 2012 (Transcript Below)

Governor Christie: Listen Charlie, you have to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. I'm not happy about this but I'm not going to be a petulant child who's going to go off and hold my breath in the corner and say well now I won't work with you on anything else. That wouldn't be consistent with the oath I took. My job is to get things done here. I'm not happy about this. It's clear that I'm not happy about it. I think it's unjust and I think most objective observers think it's unjust. But, you know, does that mean that I'm going to stop working with people? Or does it diminish the bipartisan accomplishments we already have? No, no, it doesn't. I'm telling you it doesn't. It simply doesn't. Not for me. You have to ask them the same question, but it certainly doesn't diminish it for me. I have to be able to divide those things Charlie. If I don't then any defeat you have then becomes debilitating. And that's not what people expect of me who elected me.
