Bass PM (chic bassline)

This is another example of my guitar/bass PM engine




The drums are "XLN audio addictive drums demo" vsti, the bass and guitar are both "Dark Lady bass" vsti. FX on guitar : simulanalog rednef + kjaerhus classic reverb.
Everything recorded in Reaper.

You can notice that the slides are absolutely natural and give a hard time to samplers and romplers, as such slides are just impossible to do with a sample, not only because bending a sample pitch even if correcting the tone with some tricks will never be the same as sliding a string, and you can notice that during the slide some finger noises come, and feed the string a bit more, which changes the tone again.

Each string can be tuned individually, which also affect the tone ;-)
So a sampler would require thousands of Gos to be 10% as versatile as this plugin (just to cover some different tunings and pickup positions), and will always fall short when it comes to slides.
I can tune this instrument to an open tuning, hit only one open chord, and use pitch wheel to play slide guitar à la Ben Harper.
Try that with a sampler ;-p
