Quando rivedrò qualcuno fare le stesse cose, allora, e solo allora, tornerò a seguire la F1.

@McLarenMercedes Totally agreed! Thx for your nice comments

Short speaking, Bellof sat in an illegal underweight, normally aspirated car in Monaco, whereas the others used turbo cars which were very tricky to handle on dry circuits, let alone in Monaco (witness Rosberg's 1983 win there against much more powerful turbo cars) where the rain was pouring down.
Sure Bellof had talent, but his Monaco performance was hardly "proof".

True, and in Monaco having a normally aspirated engine was a huge advantage since they were ideal on slow and twisty circuits where progressive throttle control is king. In rain too, having a turbo car is tricky to say the least.
Now for the final revelation. The Tyrrell cars of 1984 were underweight throughout the season. Since it was discovered that Tyrrell had used lead bearings to make the cars pass the weight test, they lost ALL their results and points from the '84 season.

Great vid... wish there was just the onboard perspective... its almost like looking with the eyes of a genius.

@freewill51 Absolutely . Also 65 pole positions over ten years. That averages out as 6.5 poles EACH season. Took Schumacher TWELVE years to break that record. Senna still holds the record for the most Monaco wins- 6 victories there, a record that's never been beaten He was truly awesome.

Anyone who puts down Senna knows very little. Remember that Senna drove a good car for 4 years out of a 10 year career. He won THREE titles in that 4 year periond. He had bad cars (or tires) in 84,85,86,87,92, and 93. Look at what he did in the bad cars...SET RECORDS! Who else did that? No driver ever.
-
@Calvertfilm: hmm, I wonder why... maybe because of a little wonder called TC...

Indeed, but Belof was driving a Tyrrel powered by a normally aspirated engine. Tyrrel was one of the slowest cars on he grid, but a way easier to drive than any other car in its time. Tyrrel sweet handling was an advantage on wet conditions.
