W H A T. I F~ Hatter/Alice~Collab w/ PFXProductions

What ever she had been expecting the day to become, it was not this. As Hamish dropped down on his knees before her, asking her to be his wife, for once, Alice was at a loss for words. For the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of blue and white. A rabbit? In a waistcoat? Something familiar pulled her away from the staring crowds and she dashed away, finding herself before an immense rabbit hole.
Leaning forward to peer into it, the ground broke away beneath and she tumbled down...down...and as she fell, memories began to pull at her, making her feel a strange sense of déjà vu. She landed hard on the ground, but quickly recovered and, looking around, spotted an innocent looking bottle sitting on a table to one side of the room she now found herself in. Again the visions came over her as she founder herself getting smaller and smaller, until she fit through the smallest door in the room.
The place she found herself in was unlike anything she'd ever seen...or perhaps not. Along with the brief flashes of familiarity came a hazy face. One she could not make out properly, but seemed to figure in her visions more often then not. A long table, tea cups, the man, they all seemed connected somehow. Wandering further into the strange land, she came across a familiar sight. Then suddenly she saw him and the haze lifted as she stared into his green eyes and wide, excited smile. He spoke to her softly, a slightly sad look framing those emerald eyes.
She didn't smile at him like she used to and for a moment, worry broke through his mercury addled mind, but it was quickly calmed by her speaking his name in a quite tone, even though her next words gave him a slight twinge of heart ache.
"Hatter?...I wish I'd wake up."
"Still believe this is a dream, do you?"
"Of course."
"Well then."
If she believed him to be a dream then he would show her that she was wrong, prove to her that this was real. Quickly pouring Pishalver down her throat and placed his tattered hat before her.
"Your carriage, my lady."
Having no other choice, Alice stepped onto the hat and the two of them set off. As time slipped by lazily- as it often does in Wonderland- Alice found herself growing more and more attached to this strange world and the even stranger man who guided her through it, until...
"This place is-"
But she broke off quickly. She couldn't grow attached to a dream, she just couldn't! That would be too far around the bend, even for her.
"-Just a figment of my imagination."
"Which would mean that I'm not real..."
"Afraid so."
Hurt pooled in his wide green eyes, a hurt that she wanted to, but couldn't ease. So she did the only thing she could. She spoke the truth.
"I'll miss you when I wake up."
"You could stay."
The world seemed to brighten at those sweet, innocent words and Alice found herself throwing her inhibitions into the wind. The sweet days rolled by and every moment was spent near each other until one night the Hatter turned to her, his quite voice calm and happy.
"I would have regretted not seeing you again."
At those words, Alice was reminded of the fragility or the insubstantial world around them. She knew she had to leave...he knew it too. She kissed him gently on the cheek, reassuring him of her return-
"I'll be back before you know it."
-as the world faded away. As she woke from the hazy world of her dreams, she swore she heard a voice whispering in her ear.
"Fairfarren, Alice."

Oh, the end of this video made the teensiest bit sad. You know there actually WAS supposed to be a kiss between Hatter and Alice...but they cut it out of the movie.

Still, now there'll never be a chance to see Hatter/Alice, together. Because I saw an interview with Tim Burton where he said he wouldn't be making a sequel. I love Tim Burton, but that made me want to go knock some sense into him. T__T

great video! 5 stars!  i wish they'd kissed and that she stayed with him. There's a song called i'm in heaven (when you kiss me) by ATC (a touch of class) with lyrics take me to wonderland and you were sent to me from wonderland, and i couldn't help but think of this great pairing.
