@MrsSandyblanco I'm very sorry for your loss. My friend just died of stomach cancer yesterday at the age of 50. Her progression was similar to your brother. It may be rare for younger people to have this cancer but we should all be aware of it and other forms of the disease.

I have to add that stomach cancer is no longer a elderly disease. My brother died of stomach cancer at the young age of 44. He was not a smoker nor a drinker. The only symptom he ever got was not being able to swallow. For two months he was wrongly diagnosed. He went to an ENT doctor . He did a endoscopy of the esophagus and told him , it was stress. he died 7 months later after official diagnosis. He lasted 9 months.

I believe my mom has stomach cancer. She collapsed this june and went to the hospital and got a full check up but they did not look inside her stomach. She lost so much weight and does not have any apetite. My mom is 52 and has four children: 22, 21,17,and 14. I am extremely worried for her and I feel like it might be too late. I cry myself to sleep worrying about her. We are going to the family doctor on Friday. Please pray for my mom. She's fragile and she is far to precious to leave us now.

A gastrectomy is a medical procedure that involves surgically removing the stomach.
There are three types of gastrectomy:
partial gastrectomy, where part of the stomach is removed
total gastrectomy, where the whole stomach is removed
sleeve gastrectomy, where the left side of the stomach is removed

This is bs, I heard of plenty of people in their 40s, hell 30s and even a few in their 20s affected by this cancer... I dont believe the docs really now what they are talking about sometimes, there definitly isnt enough screening and sensibilisation to this disease

@metoo702 I have a feeling that some doctors know why. And certainly the FDA knows why.

my sister was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the age of 33, once diagnosed, she underwent surgery where the dr opened her up and closed her up without removing the tumor. They gave her 2 days-2 weeks to live...she lived for 4 weeks.
