The nature of cyber threats to U.S. infrastructure has changed over the years, and today there are financially-motivated adversaries coming to our networks and taking information out. The growing sophistication of cyber attacks are posing significant risk to our nations security. Focus Washington Techview talked to Steve Antone, vice president of the federal solutions group at Lumension to walk us through what are the implications of this rising cyber concern. Antone also gives us key takeaways from a recent survey conducted among federal IT decision-makers that provides interesting facts. For example, nearly three-quarters of federal IT decision-makers surveyed who work in national defense and security departments or agencies say the possibility is high for a cyber attack by a foreign nation in the next year. Also, 42 percent of respondents believe the U.S. governments ability to prevent or handle these attacks is only fair or poor.
