Every year hundreds of orcas enter the North Sea. They follow the migration of the mackerel. In two days we saw two groups of approximately 15 to 20 killer whales each. With a strong wind at gale force (upto 38 knots) and rain it was difficult to keep the camera steady. The combination of rain, salt wind and sea water probably screwed my GH2 camera. The encounters with so many killer whales were absolutely worth it. The gannets were awesome too...
Already look forward to do this trip again next year.

With many thanks to George and his fantastic crew who took me out on the North Sea.
