Megacon Fighting Arena

Megacon has a fighting area set up for people to fight it out with foam swords, axes, hammers, and maces(ball on a bendy stick).

This is from Megacon 2007. This is only a few clips put together to show you some of what you can see in the arena. My favorite fights are the first and last ones on this video.

do you have to brg the weapons? and does it cost anything to fight in the arena? im going next weekend and this looks like fun

You don't have to, but if you do... make sure it's just like thiers or get it inspected by the people to be safe.

Finally commenting on this,after 3 years.

You did NOT kick my ass. I was instructed by the Fur-laden man to go easy on you for the video camera, and I actually hit you twice. After you knocked the shit out of me (Those were not soft swings!) They put me back into the fight rotation.

Don't worry its not offensive.

I thought so too at first, but then i found out that you can use all sorts of weapons.

Though its not as fun as actually sparring with a bow ken or staff.

Its still pretty fun, though long range weapons can be cheap.

Spears can poke way farther than swords, so landing that one hit will get them out.

So are throwing knives (IF THATS LEGAL!??!?!)

But its a really good chance to test your own skill against someone elses, and look cool while doing it!
