Seven Days Seven Topics - Day Two (August 21st, 2011)

Note: This was uploaded a day late due to the fact that it's rude to upload YouTube videos when your best friend is sleeping over at your house.

Weight issues seem to be a big deal among girls my age. Figured I'd put in my two cents for my seven days seven topics challenge.

  • that? Exactly. She could a learn a thing or two from people who actually know what they are talking about. & BY THE WAY, @astorice you would be so much prettier without all that make up on your face. Just sayin'. <3

  • @mrsjunab23 do you not realize that what i do with my face & my body has nothing to do with the argument presented here? i would take you much more seriously if you kept your criticisms to the topic at hand rather than launching petty insults at me.

  • @astorice xD I am not your friend. & Either way, even in your other videos you are trying way to hard to be an adult, when you are a mere teenager-a pre-teen at that! So maybe you should go back to your middle school drama before trying to teach people who are much older & wiser than you a lesson. You, sweetheart, are the one who needs to learn a lesson or two on stepping over boundaries & being serious, not trying to get people to like you. It's constructive criticism. Take it or leave it. <3

  • @mrsjunab23 "my friend" is a figure of speech, and is generally used as a filler in most sentences. also, what you call constructive criticism is actually just a very sly & subtle attack on my intelligence based only on my age, which is ridiculous and ageist. it's thinly veiled by a flimsy heart symbol at the end of your message, but that doesn't hide the ignorance in your comments. so no, no i won't take it. i'd much rather leave it.

  • You are not smart. Stop. How about the fact that kids are cruel? & constantly pick on other kids because they aren't the same? Ever think about that. Probably not. It isn't just the media. Granted, it doesn't help. But most "teenage girls" don't pay that much attention to it. Most eating disorders begin psychologically, by peer pressure, home problems, & even mean kids at school. It can also be caused on accident with depression. You need to get your facts straight before you post shit like this

  • @mrsjunab23 did you not pay any attention to the message at the beginning of this video? maybe you, my friend, need to get your facts straight before you post rude comments like that.

  • Your comments about anorexia - and eating disorders in general - were a little offensive. Nobody just things "hmm, I think I'll starve myself to lose a few pounds" who has anorexia. It is a serious issue, and this is actually quite presumptuous.

I suggest that you do a little more research on eating disorders before making a comment like this. It's a disorder, not a fad diet, and should certainly be treated as such. I don't mean this as a "hater" comment, it's just something to consider.

  • Just to continue on my previous comment, the causes of eating disorders include - and are not limited to - hereditary depression, abuse, stress, and anxiety. While the media certainly doesn't help, I wouldn't say that it's the "cause". It bothers me a little bit when people try to tell others what causes such a thing, and have never experienced it firsthand. It's judgemental, in my opinion.

Once again, I don't mean this as an offensive comment, it is just my opinion. Thank you.

  • People need to stop commenting back to me. The issue was resolved. Idgaf if you think I'm a douchebag. (: Bye.

  • @mrsjunab23 Although you commented on this more than a week ago, I'd like to say one thing. You say that she's trying to teach someone much older than her a lesson, and that she's trying way too hard to be an adult, when to me, she's just fine. She's -in my opinion- being mature. And you're just being a hateful douche bag. Why don't you mature up rather than telling her to be, well, less mature?

  • @CrazyBeautifulLove11 If you had read the last comment I had posted you would have found that I was actually applauding her somewhat. Figure your stuff out, before you start something with someone you don't even know.

  • @astorice I really like the messages you are conveying to the people who watch your channel. I think your arguments are well thought out and you present them in an organized manner. I fought with anorexia for a while when I was younger because I started to pay attention to the media, even when I was 5'2 and 100 lbs. Thanks for covering the topic, and also for the slut shaming video since it brought attention to a real cultural threat. @mrsjunab23 if you cant say something nice be quiet.

  • t that needs to be better understood. & it isn't just women either. It's also males. I had a male friend that weighed all of 90 pounds & he thought he was the fattest thing on this Earth. It's a terrible thing. But, I can understand what you were trying to do. What I was saying is that you need to be careful of what you say. Because as you insulted me, you could do the same to others. I can appreciate young intelligence. Just be careful not to insult people who have been through these situations

  • @astorice I do have a point. If you are so intelligent, & so knowledgeable about this subject then shouldn't you be out there trying to make a difference? Not posting silly Youtube videos that may or may not make people understand the seriousness of such a subject as this. The media is fucked-hands down. But there are so many OTHER issues that cause problems all the same. I knew a lot of girls, who when were in middle school were bulimic & annorexic, & it's scary. & I'll agree that it's a subjec

  • dear god stop with the makeup.. i know where ur life is headed

  • @astrorice

Big fan! Subscribed. Never mind the haters! They just can't deal with a 14-year-old being more reflected than they are.

  • @NoelleOwls Actually, yeah. Some people with eating disorders DO «just think "hmm, I think I'll starve myself to lose a few pounds"». It's not true for everybody. There are many reasons people eat unhealthily. But she is not discussing these people, is she?

  • @danielclot HUH? What? Wuzzat?
