Wes Leonard's Last Shot

Moments after hitting the game-winning shot in overtime to cap a perfect 20-0 basketball season, Fennville High School's Wes Leonard collapsed during the celebration on court and was pronounced dead less than 2 hours later at Holland Hospital.

Doctor's say 16-year-old Wes suffered cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

as a basketball player myself who looooves the game, i just cried. i haven't cried in years. i was really upset about my last of 5 years with the same basketball team where i love all 11 players and this puts things into perspective for me. RIP man, much love. You died doing what you loved, can't ask for a better way to go. Even if it was way too soon.
