Verdict on the Gig : *********

Well the aul'homeboys came home again at last, Yeah it's true we only got the 270° view here
in Dublin, but considering i'm a quater blind, I didnt notice, (it's true, honest) it still Looked & Sounded $#it hot to me. Though I do feel like I missed something, - they finished bang ontime on didnt give us our "40" to send us on our way home ;)

Highlght of the night ?
When Larry strapped on that drum and the place went all techno with the 'I'll Go Crazy' remix. - Then Bono starts off singin' "Relax - Dont Do It" - (I'm thinking "WTF ?" - Did I just imagine that) - Then he starts singin' "When Two Tribes Go To War" - and I said to meself, go on ye good thing, - It brought back to me the whole Trevor Horn / Frankie Goes To Hollywood buzz - (as in 100% machine driven, midi Lectro pop dance... PHWOARRRR)

Lowlight ?
That light show for "Where the Streets have no Name" was tame.

There was a ban on having a camera lens over 1" at the gig, so I used phone with a Cybershot cam to get this video. It records at 320x240 @ 30fps. The video has been upscaled to 1280x720 via Vegas using a DivX HD profile.

I 'aquired' this cassette (x2) the week after the joshua tree gig in croker back in 87 - I just recently put it to mp3 for keepsie's - This is the gig when there was a guy dancin' on the Corrugated Tin roof, or was it Corrugated Asbestos??? - and bono told him to get down and come dance with the rest of us, and if my memory serves me right ... the bloke had a sixpack of beer in one hand and a bottle in the other....

ahhh - they were the good aul'days. ;-P
