  • I can't believe it took the leaders of the school and school district to reinstate this tradition that is celebrated though out the islands of Hawai'i. It's a day of recognition and celebration of the Hawaiian culture and its people, especially native Hawaiians. While I'm happy that May Day is back and celebrated in the school, I am equally disappointed in the leaders of the school and school district that it took them this long to make it na'au pono.

  • i go to dat school this is my final year

  • this is my old school! I did Mei day at Kealakehe Elem on the Big Island. Of course we did it with the May Pole dance not Hawaiian Syle.

  • {Continuation}

    So last year, we brought the Hawaiian spirit back, where it should be.

    I know Hawaiian Traditions doesnt REALLY help you in life. But if your not from this Island. Then it would be a good experience for you to learn more about this place your standing on. Im sure it wouldnt hurt to try different stuff, huh? Well, to ALL THE HAWAIIAN OUT THERE OR LOCALS WHO MISS HOME. I would go die if i lived off this island.

    Have a nice one!!!

    Until the Americans came here & destroyed our land, made it in THEIR WAYZ & left the Hawaiians with nothing. Expecting them to fall in their lines. NO! not 'Expecting' more like 'FORCING'.

    Reliving the olden day's is what i want the most. Not change.BUT, HEY!!! some people want change. Change is good. But sometimes you forget about where you came from & what were the traditions.

  • WELL !!!

    that was the first and last MAY DAY for

    washington middle school...

    Due to the fact, that their letting go 4 teachers. Including Kumu Puka and Kumu Kawehi. So now there aint gonna be any Hawaiian class in that school now. If you ask me, I think thatz wrong. This is Hawaii. The kid's should learn about the traditions that have been going on here.

  • OMG! I was there watching the whole thing :DD

  • hahaha, nvm i meant A but you put on A
