John Blair Testified at the EPA Air Toxics Hearing in Chicago on May 24, 2011.

Among the things he discussed were the enormous levels of health threatening pollution that come from the numerous coal power plants that inhabit SW Indiana and W Kentucky.

Those emissions annually include: 289,505 tons of Nox, 510,.200 tons of SO2, 105,110,415 tons of CO2 and a whopping 4,307 pounds of mercury in addition to more than 42 million pounds of "toxic" releases.

  • How is it possible this can happen in any democracy in America? We might find this in some third world. Corporate bottom lines have never proved more greedy than today's. We have a grass roots effort of 10,000 folks dedicated to shutting down San Onofre power plant thanks to this horrific disaster, corporate corruption, and unresponsive government to catalyze the people into outrage and organization.
