They (NATO) killed Gaddafi because they wanted the oil - it's about control of their oil and other resources despite their claims of rescuing their people on "humanitarian" means. They had him murdered on video so all other country leaders could see it, therefore, if they did not cooperate with US and their agendas, they too, would find their fate the same as Gaddafi.
