1985 VBODA West - Class AAA & Class AAAA Awards

This video of the 1985 Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association State Marching Festival-West Awards Ceremony was recorded on October 19, 1985 at William Byrd H.S. Stadium in Vinton, VA.

The ceremony included the announcement of awards for Class AAA and Class AAAA Bands from the evening's competition which included the following:

-George Washington/Danville H.S. (2nd Place in Class/Superior Rating)
-Christiansburg H.S. (Excellent Rating)
-John Handley H.S. (Excellent Rating)
-John S. Battle H.S. (1st Place in Class/Superior Rating/1st Place Auxillary)

Class AAAA

-Fort Defiance H.S. (Excellent Rating)
-Highland Springs H.S. (2nd Place in Class/Superior Rating)
-Warren County H.S. (Excellent Rating)
-Courtland H.S. (Superior Rating)
-Charlottesville H.S. (3rd Place in Class/Superior Rating)
-Cave Spring H.S. (Excellent Rating)
-James Wood H.S. (1st Place in Class/Festival Champion/Superior Rating/1st Place Auxillary).
