With Jarrett busy taking on Richard Lee this week, Dave Brown announces that Austin Idol will be returning to the area to team with the King against the Moondogs. Richard Lee does a promo followed by a cheese-tacular Austin Idol music video.

@volstar8 i thougt the same thing when i first saw idol back in 79. i thought flair had changed his name. idol and flair have actually wrestled each other . i love them both but idol is my favorite wrestler of all time. long live the universal heart throb !!!!!!!!1

Yes, Idol is Rick Flair. I could be wrong but I have watched a ton of Flair promos and the similarity to Idol is just too strong to ignored.

This is 1992 and they're using Loverboy for a promo? And the Moondogs are at the top of the card? Jesus tap-dancing Christ. It's amazing how the USWA was the last remaining territory. Was WWF helping to fund them at this point? And why didn't Idol ever catch on in the NWA/WCW? Too similar to Ric Flair?
