I wanna put one of those on a unicycle, so I would look talented on balancing.

It's exactly the same thing, except that you don't fall.

First of all a kid isn't going to ride a high speed motorcycle lol, second of all just let the kid fall and learn from that, training wheels are for like 1-2 weeks so that the little bastard can learn to keep his balance then its off with them, and no a gyro will not be as a close of an approximation as just riding a normal bike.

Training wheels do NOT work correctly. On a normal bicycle you turn right to go right and left to go left. At high speeds (and on motorcycles) you actually turn a little left, to go right, then lean while turning to make the turn. A gyro would be a much closer approximation than training wheels from this regard. And yes - they can still fall and you can kiss their bruises away :)

Am I the only one who would prefer my kid actually falling, getting hurt and learning the hard way? Come one, life isn't exciting without a bruise or two.
