Great to see people have decided on behalf of her which key is right for her, whether she has the right to transposing etc, where she herself refuses to name her Stimmfach explicitly!

This Lied gives me a rush every time I hear it. It's just so powerful, intense, and passionate.
-
@PatateRoussoiste Schubert himself transposed these things all the time, whenever the people hanging out at his apartment wanted him to. People back then thought it was impressive!
-
@Mozart61 Who cares... it's a Lied, not an Opera... there is no major difficulties in transposing Lieder and it's quite common !
-
Kenne keine bessere Gesangs-diktion als das.
-
@Mozart61 a half tone lower than the original score key... xD
-
@Denuhm ??
-
@Mozart61 it does sound like that doesn't it :S
@Mozart and @Denuhm.... it may be a half tone lower but the it still sounds absolutely amazing

It is customary for professional singers to transpose art song to the key that best suits their voice, as long as it still reflects the color of the music. The singer is not appreciated for the key in which they sing, but for the artistry they bring to the song.
