When putting posts down on top of existing cement, don't you have issues with rising/falling cement levels in winter/summer that may torque on the roof? We're not allowed to put posts on top of cement slabs here for that reason. And we're required to have posts at least 3.5' in the ground to bypass the freeze line.

What a bunch of bullshit design mumbo jumbo for what is basically a shed roof that a couple mexicans can do in less tha 1 day. If the owner paid more than $1500.00 they got ripped off.
