I'm no expert, but i'm pretty sure that you are supposed to charge the helicopter before the first flight. If you don't, you could damage the battery and the charge might not last as long in the future. Like I said, I'm no expert.

@LinkinPrc I ended up getting an "Air Swimmer" instead, big mistake! Don't ever buy one, they don't lift off the ground either. bummer

Thanks! I am a beginer and am always afraid I will crash the nice helicopters around the house. This video gave me courage and now I am buying a ton of the diamond helicopters. Great video! Hilarious too!
