Turn a square cherry bowl. This is a great project with a more modern feel. Centering the piece on the chuck is the key to obtaining a good finished and symmetrical piece.

  • Hi Carl, I'm new to your videos, but I think they're great. I'm a 13 year old girl and I use my dad's lathe at home. I have a great interest in woodworking. I think I'm going to try this, thanks.

  • @cornflakefilms101 Thanks Reece, I think you'll have a lot of fun it's a great hobby

  • Hi Carl. I decided to get one of the Lathes from you. Just wanted to ask what size roughing gouge is good for a beginner? 1", 1 1/2"?

  • That's great Leonard. What did you decide on? My roughing gouge is an 1 1/4 and I am very happy with it.

    Thank you,

    Carl

  • I bought the Shop Fox 1752 thats in your store. They had 1 day shipping for an extra $3.99. Can't beat that.
