Carole King: Music - from the Album: Music (1972). This is another great song from the the Music album. Because of Curtis Amy's tenor sax solo, I've again included some of his pictures. The bass player is Charles Larkey. Sorry for the quality of that picture, but it was the only one I could find where he was playing. I hope Carole doesn't mind me putting this video up on YouTube. But I felt that more people should know the song, and that it needed a nice visual presentation. Also I felt that Curtis Amy needed some exposure.

  • 好聽!

  • This in my opinion is Carole's homage to John Coltrane's My Favourite Things. Aspects of Curtis' playing reflect John Coltrane, and some of Carole's reflects McCoy Tyner. The rest is delicious pure CK magic.

  • @boxofficegal79 No . . . you're not!

Woke up late this morning having a dream that ran like a movie in my head. Luckily, I write screenplays, so I didn't see it as a kind of psychosis. It was a meaning-of-the-universe mind-f*ck kind of thing that makes "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" look like "My Dinner With Andre" by comparison. At the end, when the lead character is trying to make sense of it all. CK's "Music" is playing . . . he GETS it . . . and moves on.

  • Am I the only one who prefers the "Music" album to "Tapestry"? Don't get me wrong, "Tapestry" is terrific, but "Music" is my all-time fave CK album.

  • Just started this song with my choir today...great song!!

  • Great bass player!

  • @firestarterquake, put it between two sheets of plain old glass and set it out in the hot sun for a few hours. It will flatten back out and the whole thing will be playable again.

  • Spiritual..

  • Just incredible MUSIC...

  • some of her best music is this album and song by far IMO....this is my head on a normal day of ADD (attention deficit disorder).
