At North Beach, Fort De Soto, St. Pete Beach, FL. This is a stretch of gorgeous soft white sand beach, with calm, shallow, clear water, every which way you turn your eyes to. Words fail me, as cliche as this sounds. When we set our feet onto the beach and looked out, we had to catch our breath. It's that gorgeous. And unique. It was The Best Beach in America as selected by Dr. Beach in 2005. I taped a sting ray as it swam away: yes, they are there, right on the sandy bottom of the shallow ocean. It's with a heavy heart that I am uploading this video; The oil is still spewing out from the BP leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
