  • @teshigawara102 Don't we wish we all could understand Michael Stipe's lyrics!

  • Thanks for uploading !!

I can't believe, in 1982,making this sound !! I'm in a amateur band,I was so inspired by early R.E.M.Not. these days.I suppose the best album of R.E.M is "Murmur",and love "Death letter office"too.simple,tight,groovy,melodic...How Ca I describe them!! I wish I can understand what Michael Stipe sings about...I am Japanese, and cannot speak English! Anyway,I love them.

  • amazing...1982!...who can calculate the influence of this band?...they save my mind from so much pop banality...saw them in 1987 at Great Woods, Mass. with my gal Meghan, dancing and tripping in the rain and mud...unbelievable..unforgettable...thanks guys!

  • Thanks for putting this fantastic show up...Great quality! We went to The Pier about 4 times in '79-'80. Very cool place. There is a website/blog of people's comments and all the great bands who played there in the 70's & 80's. The area known as the "Subway" or "Underground" hosted a wealth of talent before closing clubs in the late '80's and is now abandoned.
