  • It´s a Gibson LG 3 ?

  • This is a Gibson LG-2 from the late 1950s, if I recall. The guitar does not belong to me and I no longer have it at hand.

  • exellent. that is a stunning guitar your playing there. where do you get all these vintage instruments from?

  • Thanks. Guitars are from friends, students or local shops and are with me long enough to make just a recording or two.

  • OMG, this is excellent.

  • Great cover. I hope to get this video up with the rest of my Ragtime covers, check them out if you get the time, thanks!

  • A great little tune - and beautifully played too.

  • Ah... Great memories. Gene Shay started the folk show every Sunday in Philly in the 60' and 70's. i've also been playing it myself since then. Mine has drifted just a little further away from the original, and I love how you have caught some of Van Ronk's nuances. I'd love it if you'd check out my version at coachdoc49.

  • Wonderful rendition. I, myself, learned this song from a Happy Traum book published in '66. Learned it via tabs in a different key. A fun song.

  • From the Jug Band Stomper's album. I have my old scratched LP. Love it, and rare. Can't find it on CD. Grew up with this LP and Spike Jones.

  • That's really marvellous ,it sounds great. I first started playing after hearing Ralph McTell play this tune and it's one of my favourites.

All the best and Merry Christmas.

  • Very nice job!

By the looks of that window, I'd say you're from New England. New Hampshire?

  • a wonderful guitarist, thoroughly enjoyed your rendition ..

  • Your the guy everbody learns from !!!!
