Learn and enjoy the national anthem of New Zealand presented in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL), Te Reo Maori & English. The anthem is presented in a stunning pictorial representing the cultural and natural beauty of New Zealand.

This videos is available on a DVD and has been produced as a teaching resource to enable all New Zealanders to learn, access and enjoy our national anthem in New Zealand's three official languages.

This version is the result of collaboration with native speakers of NZSL,
Maori & English, New Zealand-wide, and sign language linguists from the
Deaf community, with the purpose to create a NZSL translation that was
true to the meaning behind the Maori & English lyrics.

  • If you want to learn this, the best way is practice, and practice with a Sign Language user.

  • I staunchly support this fantastic initiative.

  • I need to learn this by next Wednesday for school prizegiving - any hints for learning it quickly?!

  • What type of video effect or program was used to make this amazing video that truly stands on its own, sign-wise? I am especially impressed with how the background seems to dance in a visual poetry along with the signing. Not to forget mentioning good font usage expressing the very intimate feeling for their homeland. I would be grateful if anyone could answer my question. Thank you! This vid blew my mind!
