  • One can quite fairly criticize this performance. The tempo is too high and it just sounds very rushed. For some reason this was their arrangement for this song in its acoustic incarnation.

But Gary actually hits the notes that he tries to here. I've heard him sing on many occasions over the past few years, and he's sounded quite bad in most instances. He has a beautiful voice, but he needs to learn how not to sing through his nose, and he needs to gain better control. Too many runs.

  • I love Rascal Flatts !!!!!!!

  • OMG this is FANTASTIC!!!! Ohhhhhh I sure do love Rascal Flatts!!

  • singing sounds fine.. but the song is too fast.. VERY easy to do live... if you were a musician you would know this. Usually the drummers fault in most situations.

  • i thought it was fine, he did look a little weird though, maybe bloated? lol idk

  • Wow. This is probably one of the worst live acoustic performances I've ever seen of Rascal Flatts. Gary LeVox (the lead singer), sounded hoarse and really pitchy. He kept changing up the melody, and the song sounded very rushed. Gary looked like he had trouble hearing himself as he sang, and at the end, on the high note at "let it rest" he backed out and didn't give it his all. Maybe he was just sick, I don't know? All I know is, as a fan, this was thier WORST performance ever!!

  • Gary looks horrible and he sounded pitchy, although I don't undermine his vocal ability. He is an exceptionally gifted singer! However, this acoustic version sounded very sped up and takes away part of the meaning to this song. He didn't even go for the really high ending note at the end..he tries to at 3:54, but he just sounds too hoarse. He always does live.
