Jesus Vs Santa - which is more irrational?

If a grown adult claims they believe in the literal existence of Father Christmas they would be labelled mad. But when someone claims to believe in the literal existence of Jesus then it's seen as a plus in some countries. But is believing in Jesus any more sane than believing in Santa?

Actually there is way more evidence for santa then for jesus! St. Nicholas, was a real person, recorded outside the bible, in more than one reliable text and during the time that he was LIVING! He also was said to do miracles. There is also more continued evidence of santa. (in the form of presents, santa sightings, letters and e-mails) God really should get with the times and start e-mailing...

It doesen't matter how long after His death they were written. you still see WW2 stories written by firsthand accounts more than 60 years after the end of the war. and there are most likely records from when the Romans tried and crucified him.

well, that's easy. Santa. whether or not you belive in God, and wether or not you belive that the miracles from Jesus were real, there's no denying that Jesus was an actual person.

@ultamentgear183 Except the gospels were written at least 3 decades after his death. I'm inclined to believe there was a person around at the time called Jesus but I don't believe the Gospels were precise eye witness accounts.
