Nathan Florence, of WeAreChange Rhode Island, and Chris Maher, a WeAreChange activist from Connecticut, met briefly with RI Governor, Donald Carcieri, on the stairs of the capital building in Providence, RI on June 10, 2009. In celebration of the historic burning of the Gaspee, a critical moment in the lead up to the American Revolution, citizens held a massive tax protest at the state house. Less than 24 hours before Ron Paul's bill, h.r. 1207, to Audit the private Federal Reserve, passed the necessary number of cosponsors to reach a majority in the house, WeAreChange questioned Rhode Island's Governor concerning the issue.
Audit the Fed? I think that is just not going to happen. If it does, the Fed will control the outcome of the audit. Abolish the Fed! Arrest the board members of the Fed. Tri them for treason! Arrest every congressman and senator that did nothing to end the Fed. Tri them for treason! Audit the Fed? We are way past that point! People are being put in prison every day because they resisted the Feds' pit bull, the IRS. Every nickle stolen form you as income tax goes to the private Federal Reserve.
