A tutorial showing how to remove the air restrictors from your Nerf Maverick. The good folks at Nerf add air restrictors to limit the pistols range and removing these can squeeze out a bit more power.

  • I can't pry my cylinder not matter how hard I try. Any help?

  • @TheFacekillaa The cylinder in mine is secured shut by a friction fit orange end cap on the silver rod through the center. The end cap is tight but should pull loose with a bit of force. Perhaps try a different prying tool?

  • this video was extremely helpful and i did what you said step by step but now my gun wont fire :(

    any suggestions what went wrong?

  • @Timmits1 You may need to provide some more information so I can help. At what point does it fail and what is it doing? The most common fault is where the gun will fire, make the noise and all but the dart wont leave the chamber. This is usually due to the plunger not being seated securely against the cylinder when re-assembling, allowing the air to escape out of the sides instead of pushing the dart.

  • @Timmits1 you were supposed to remove te pins then take out the middle leaving only the rim of the restrictor to prevent vacuumloading and to hold barrels together that happened to me too

  • @x2Jiggy yes you were exactly right, the plunger wasnt in the right hole and wasnt up against the barrel.

thanks heaps for that and your videos.

    cheers.
