Your actions are noble but the truth is most who worship MJ do so for their own reasons and attempt to hide the guilt of feeling good in a world gone mad by claiming their feel good emotions will change the world. Feeling good does nothing but make one feel good. You translated your feelings into actions...most just want to feel good without doing anything, so in that regard MJ accomplished nothing.

More important the people he affected (Michael Jackson) wants to do the same thing..they want to help people..they waant to help change the world..I know because I became one of these people..I helped refugees over here in Europe also by raising funds through music and performance..I also wrote the first tribute song for Michael seven years ago prior to his passing a song called "Legend Forever"..now being shown on Youtube..we recorded it for all the true fans.you can check it on Youtube.Enjoy!

Well when his fans would talk to me and Michael Jackson has people who really adored his work as a musician, performer, and a philanthropist..you can't just be a Singer and a Great Dancer affecting so many people like MJ has..he was important for a generation.his music was the soundtrack for many like myself..The media is having a field day because they don't understand themselves what is the phenomenon..Michael Jackson was a special so called celebrity. He will be scrutinize for sometime soon.

I will do that. You be blessed too.

We too often forget the media is a business like any other. They need advertising dollars to survive. Advertisers need an audience. The media creates the audience so they can sell to the advertisers. The idea the media is in their business for public service is a sham. That concept died with Cronkite, Brinkley and the rest. Watch the movie "Network" and you will see the light. Be blessed

They are idiots, lol. Why people air they dirty laundry on tv anyway, but thats them and not me. With the OJ case the media wanted that. I remember when they showed the people at the court hearing to air it, they said it would be good to the public. Yeah right.
Ok Listen..he was not just a Singer...I will say it again..ok the press has not been friendly to Michael Jackson over the years..So in that sense I sypathize with your statement..

While I agree with you about the media's love/hate relationship with MJ (as is the case with any celebrity) I fail to see what he was beyond a singer...perhaps a performer that sings, but little else. Perhaps you can explain to me what else he contributed? I would be open to hear.

Well I will clarify how much he contributed..I'am a performer myself..and I grew up in America.later moved to Europe..I've seeen the unwavering love at the time was the Late 80's how much MJ was loved..I've never seen before him Caucasions, Asians, Turks, Ethiopia,Bangladash, pakistan, etc.you got my point?.with out being a civil rights activist..he became one..his music was just the trick to bring all these races together..that became more apparant for America after his passing

While I respect your admiration for MJ and certainly believe he has a large multitude of fans (something I envy to be honest) of all races & nationalities, I just can't translate that into civil rights activism. He was above all a performer and I believe he would admit that himself. People have made him into a myth (just like Elvis, James Dean, etc). His music may have stirred emotions but this does not equate into contributing to anything but that...feelings and emotions.
