Father dead, child in hospital after Mississauga crash

A man is dead and his two-year-old child is in hospital after two vehicles collided in Mississauga early Sunday morning. The collision occurred just before 3:30 a.m. on Cawthra Road near Queen Elizabeth Way. Peel police said the 40-year-old man was driving off the highway when his vehicle, which was also carrying his wife and child, was struck by a black car. Both the father and the child were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

"It is possible that speed was a factor. Alcohol was definitely a factor in this accident,"said Peel Const. Marlon Colthrust. Emergency crews rushed the man to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The child was transported to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children with critical injuries but is now in stable condition. The man's wife wasn't injured in the crash and is currently at the hospital tending to her son.

Four other victims who were in the other vehicle were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Everyone involved in the collision was reportedly wearing a seat belt.

Police said 20-year-old Darren Millett faces nine alcohol-related charges in connection with the crash including criminal negligence causing death and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

In the black car there was 4 young drunk people who killed the Algerian man in his white car.
