wie alle Titel von mir, für alle die in den 70er 80er Jahren in Hamburg´s "Grünspan" so richtig gerockt haben...

  • Is it me or is this version slightlt different? Sammy's vocals seem different on this vid or maybe I just was paying more attention to the guitar.

  • You´re right. The soundfile is from my old vinyl.

    My turntable is sick...

    In spite of pitch control!

  • No offense to the chap who posted this, but why is it sped up so much? Sammy sounds like a chipmunk! The pitch is way off.

There's another version of this on this site -- the one with the Montrose album cover -- that's at the correct speed.

  • yeah..a problem of most old record player...

pitch control using is not possible.I only get it a littele bit to slow or to fast. Next uploads from vinyl i´ll resample with a special software. If i put in the length which is print on the cover, the software change it to.

  • Is he using a theremin for those sounds in the beginning? I always wondered about that.

  • Ronnie´s comment for the intro: "After recording a backing acoustic guitar track, i put a microphone into my "Big Muff" distortion box, which went through a leslie speaker cabinet and then through tape delay in the control room. All sounds other than the acoustic guitar were my voice tracks processed through that setup, including the "synthesizer" sounds."

  • What about the animal-like squawks on the intro? Sorry that ain't no voice. I'd swear he's playing with a wah especially since right at the end of the warble (before the rhythm guitar kicks in) you can hear him click off the wah.

  • @taxirock I know this is late but i always wondered about the space beginning for this track? So the notes at the beginning over the acoustic are from his voice? Amazing cause me and a drummer used to fool with this tune and i would try to get the most spacey fat sound i could from effects, and it was cool but we needed the acoustic in the background to make it complete..It just wasn't as molten liquifying sounding, Right before the main riff starts"bird sounds"is just like ending on 6 was 9

  • Nothing wrong with the vocal pitch here, sounds the same as my vinyl and digital versions.Sound quality here, is a bit thin though.

    Nice upload.

  • ha this it than u taxi rock

  • Wow..Forgot Rory Gallagher Irish Tour 74..Top 6 then

  • If you went to see Montrose in the early 1970's,you saw 2 ramps on either side of the stage, like the ramps skateboarders use..Ronnie Montrose would run back and forth up the ramps..He was NEVER stationary..This album is Top 5 of my faveS..Get Yer Ya Yas Out, Wheels of Fire,Highway to Hell, Montrose,Lynard Skynard Live from the Road..All GREAT albums

  • BAAAAd Asssss ! Montrose BOOOOyaah !

  • The main reason you don't buy a CD is they suck an album sounds 10 times better.
