petrol hill is the rock face i refered to at the end of slab hut creek track in big river. Have also done the chasm 3 weeks ago awsome track went in from waituna rd end need good winch on each truck for that track.

Hi ... Thanks and yes below in vid is a big clay area... I know the spot.. And have been trying to find exactly where petrol hill is.. think we have done it but as you say tracks all over and hard to find the names lol..We also do the Chasm track/stair case. Either from waituna road at one end and/or snowy river road from other end..

reefton a side track off big river track dont no the name of it and there are side tracks all threw there you just need a weekend in reefton to explore them all. Another good track in big river is slab hut creek which then leads on to petrol hill near the end, very steep rock face, first truck winchs up then tows the rest up hope that helps
