  • Not as morbid as Nihilist, but still a great cover by a kickass band \m/

  • I like this version more to be honest, it sounds more death metal, heh.

  • Hmm, it sounds more thrash than death to me. This is a kickass band, but you can't beat classic Nicke's drumming and those fat guitars :)

  • I mean the overall sound, not the song structure or riffs. Those are indeed quite thrashy.

    Nicke's drumming is amazing, yes.

  • @omegaofthepack I need them too, nowhere to be found!

  • Does anybody have the complete lyrics to this track|?

  • @stabbbber Obviously there is some "d-beat" in the original. I guess Nihilist was influenced by Anti Cimex. Funny fact: Anti Cimex's singer later sang in two band which used the HM-2. Wolfpack and Moment Maniacs. Wolfpack originated from a death metal band called Obscre Infinity, check out the "Beyond the Gate" demo from 1992. Rough shit.

  • @georock123 Its CARAMEL leftovers.... this song is about a stray dog eating sticky CARAMEL off some bones soaked in it.

  • Repugnant version beats Nihilist's IMO.

  • old school albums sound better because there recorded on analog and the levels arent pushed to max like damn near everything new thats recorded on digital. i mean shit, you can turn an album up... but when everythings in red before its mastered the albums are gonna sound like shit. apparently alot of people like that tho...

  • I always thought Carnal Leftovers sounded incredibly thrashy.

  • Cult covering Cult.

  • Yeah, I understood you meant the overall sound, I just compared them for myself - this version still sounds thrashier to me, riffs are faster here and drums on this cover are more thrash. Nicke's drumming was standard death metal.... that's how I feel about this anyway. Both bands kickass regardless \m/
