When you get back from your barefoot runs, just do a check for injuries. And I give them a quick wash with antibacterial soap. :) I know I'm such a wuss!

***I am raising money for an awesome barefoot project, but the days are counting down. If we don't hit our goal our barefoot art will never be made! Please help donate and spread the love: http://www.barefootladiesartbook.com

  • so how long was that run?

  • @stockh0lm that's after the daily 6 mile :)

  • ...when running barefoot, is there any special stretches you do after your run?

  • @TerminusIntroduction usually - especially when you first start - stretches that focus on the calves, feet and toes. I do a lot of stretching at night after a run to stay flexible. I'll make some videos! For now just check my favorites... :)

  • your feet are beautiful even with dirt on your soles

  • The soles of your feet are beautiful. They look so natural, thick and supple, just like leather. Keep barefooting Skye!

  • @HowToRunBarefoot

Would you let a foot fetishist lick the bottoms of your feet clean?

  • What about Hepatitis?

  • @durhamfire this is just my personal opinion.

  • @eastern2western i didnt know that nails glass and poop were considered elements lol. I agree with you about shoes being made to protect feet though. but have you ever seen dual survival? there is this hippie on the show that never wears shoes and he goes everywhere. but he is alot slower than the army guy. so I guess what im saying is to each there own if you like wlking on nails broken glass and poop then wear shoes and let other people step over said things

  • i just wanted to say that i train for marathons and every year i got injuries except this year when i had no shoes...i also had a faster time on average, so shoes don't seem to be necessary

  • I don't run barefoot, but I do walk that way for the last few blocks of a mile walk

  • Nope fuck that.

  • @Runsbarefoot i agree shoes are not necessary but in some places they are like for instance exploring old barns and houses where there are pieces of rusty metal or glass. Also i really dont think running on concrete is safe for feet. I think if you do barefoot running stick to grassy areas that arent likely to have any unsafe garbage like glas or nails. I think it should be legal to go barefoot at school as there is never pieces of glass around the building....

  • @Runsbarefoot they are absolutely necessary to protect your feet. unless you are running on a controlled surface (machines), then you may not necessary need them. even if you run on a clean surface, you still need shoes from preventing blisters (which is the reason why you have them in the video). men invented shoes so that they could have protections for their feet to walk longer. you may enjoy barefoot running, but you still have to prevent injuries.
