  • i believe the one lyric is "two boys fighting in a halo of light" instead of "two boys fighting in a hell of a fight".. i think it means like they're fighting under a street light that makes a circle..just my opinion tho but i think its right :).. great post by the way, fantastic performance by the BOSS

  • Thanks for the input, I think you may be right about the lyrics and OFCOURSE also about the fact that this is a fantastic performance:.)

  • This song leads into "she's the one".. do you have the 2nd half? If so, can you let me know?

  • Yeah, I`ve got it, I can mail you the MP3 if you want

  • @AnotherTrampOfHearts Yes, it's halo.

  • another great intense simmering performance from the boss

  • Best "Mona" IMO. Absolutely epic performance, I remember listening to this live when it was broadcast.

  • very similar to preachers daughter, thanks very much for the post

  • I saw Bruce Springsteen perform this song in 1978 at Winterland in San Francisco. Man, I was there! Winterland, an old ice skating palace which has since closed, held around 4,500 people. It's one of the best memories of my life. This version of "Mona" is my favorite. The Mannish Boys just released a nice version, too.

  • @AnotherTrampOfHearts your right man

  • It is a halo of light, not hell of a fight

  • No doubt. I have the utmost respect for the E Street Band. I just thought I'd throw out a little music history for educational purposes.

  • @bensmith3200 Bruce and Little Steven loved all of those early Rockers and Bruce basically wanted Rock and roll to go back before the British invasion.
