@beatsandthings If you look at the German Grip, your palms are pointed down. Instead of your fingers being perpendicular to stick, it is now lined up with the wrist. This allows for the wrist to be the most ideal candidate for making movements with the stick. You can try and add some fingers to catch the stick rebound on the way up.
