Buffalo River Bull Elk with New Harem

The first few moments of authority for a beautiful, young bull elk who has just taken this herd of cows and calves away from a larger, but aging bull. The takeover occurred without a fight, as the older bull deferred to the younger one's aggressive bugling and swift approach. The takeover transpired at a distance; however, once the new bull had rounded up the scattered herd, he moved them within video camera range. Stealing the show is "Junior," who just didn't quite know how to act in such a situation!
