ok gentlemen. the 1898 gewehr was copied by springfield to make the 1903, in fact it copied it EXACTLY so, mauser got pissed and sued them. the 1903 and 1898 mauser do not come with scopes. no rifle EVER should be made with scope only unless it is custom made.

How convienent, I'm sure then, that a sniper would very well want a custom-made make of the rifle. It makes sense to me at least...

its a Infantry rifle but they just add other features on the Infantry ones and then add the scope on and then there you go a Sniper Rifle now ppl say the Kar98 only served as sniper yeah i would liek to say this to any one who thinks that Think Again the Kar98 was a Infantry RIfle the only reason it would be a sniper is special featrue and the scope!

@super64mandown The Karabiner 98 Kurz It's often abbreviated Kar98k, K98, or K98k there's no "sniper version" it played a sniper role in WW2.

if the kar98k was a sniper rifle, then all sodiers in the wehrmacht were snipers. can everyone stop calling bolt action rifles sniper rifles? they wernt all sniper rifles, they can be converted to, but they were primary battle rifles when they were issued.

The KAR98K isn't a Sniper Rifle it's a Battle Rifle.
