At Tin Can, we believe in progressive quality entertainment and an increasingly strong commitment towards Kolkata arts and culture.
Initiated in 2006, with an aim to generate innovations in film, theatre and design, we have since then involved ourselves with feature films, live shows, documentaries, workshops and various design projects, both nationally and internationally.
Tin Can is a learning company.
We remain inspired by our clients and collaborators which include Aparna Sen, Anjan Dutta, British Council, Bearsville Studios and Baul Archive, The Waiting City Films, Theatre Royal Plymouth and a large number of musicians, singers, actors and writers from the city.
Among festivals, we assisted Prithvi Theatre Festival in 2005, 2006, and performed for the prestigious Vodafone Odeon Festival in Kolkata, 2008. More recently, Tin Can was awarded for Best Production Design and Best Director at Thespo 2008, Mumbai.
Our aim, now, is to learn and explore newer avenues of thought and practice in terms of live performances, filming, design and entrepreneurship. At the same time, we wish to encourage a stronger culture of art in the city by providing opportunities to youngsters and accessing the industry in a fresh way.
