@slitheen The 360 version is hardly superior, as it doesn't have the outrun 2 courses.

@F4O That makes sense! Actually, having a digital camera in your face while concentrating on driving quickly is quite impossible. What was i thinking?
I actually played the arcade version yesterday, somehow i missed spotting this car.... I always enjoy your videos though:)

@F4O :
verry long ago, my favorite supercar was the lambourghini countach, but as soon as i saw that white testarossa in miami vice, i switched brand :-D this does not mean that i dislike lambourghini now, but like most guy's, i prefere ferrari.

WOW, now i would never have guessed that. in the game, the enzo looks bigger. to bad you never got up to speed in the F40, and i can imagine the grin on your face all week, how much outrun fans can say they have actually been in a real ferrari ? my personal favorite is the testarossa, but the F40 is also a proper ferrari. i loved that top gear episode where they compare those older supercars like the jaguar xj220 and so.

It was all about the car that day, not the speed because it was at the National Motor Museum at Beauly (UK) and the car never left the grounds. It was fathers day and they had a host of cars running and on display out side. They displayed the cars twice that day and I waited for them to return to take them back out and thats how I got the ride. The 3 cars belong to a trustee of the museum. :)
The Enzo is the same size as the F40, tho to look at them in OutRun you would never guess!

I was at the right place at the right time. There were 3 cars, F40, Enzo Ferrari & a Mclaren F1 GTR and I could only have a ride in one. The F40 without question!!! The F40 was a REAL BUZZ and I was smiling for a week, but I have been on the back of a Kawasaki Ninja doing illegal speeds and the Bike is SCARY!!! With the F40 I was gob smacked tho as it was a dream come true and I just could not take it all in. The 1st thing that hits you is how low down to the ground you are! :)
What I find crazy to think about is how much an Outrun 2 cabinet would have cost to purchase in 2003, yet you can go on PSN or X-Live and purchase a superior version of the software, that was built from the 2006 enhanced version, and is displayed in up to 1080p.....and it will cost you about £7 or £8. That machine must have cost thousands! Every time I spark the game up on my PS3 I think of this and feel lucky. To those who haven't seen it in true HD....it looks *amazing*.

@slitheen There is OutRun2SP SDX if you have not seen it. Now this thing would cost you around £100,000 for a 4 machine link up. :)
Indeed many people forget these machines cost the earth and they are not cheap to play either, on average £1 per play. A handful of plays at home and it's payed for it's self time and time again!!

I utterly SUCK at the arcade version. Gear-drifting is just too hard.
BTW, how did you record this? Did you strap a camera to your forehead?

@SwedeWithAnAccent My woman is holding the camera which was sat on the top of the seat, I was leaning over to the left side while playing to keep out of frame. Now and then your see my head pop in on the left side. ;-)
