Ubuntu 10.04 used via the Easystroke application.
Here's the settings I use, but I encourage you to experiment to find what suits you best:

I forgot to mention in the credits that the screen capture video in ogv format was first converted into .avi with mencoder to before getting it work in Blender.

Seems like a great application, one that i've been looking for, but sadly there are no default settings!
Are there any presets to be found that implement the same mouse gestures as common browser mouse gesture extensions?

This is seriously making me consider Getting ubuntu as a main OS. Only issue i've got with that is that linux has NOGAEMS.

Just remember it's not on by default, and you have to configure easystrokes first, so... make sure to tell that next time, and show how to do it. It's getting annoying for linux videos to not show the behind-the-scenes configurations, etc.
