I live in Canada and I agree I've never noticed an accent and I travel alot and have never had it pointed out to me. No one I know says ooot aboot or anything like that.

Then you haven't met the same Canadians I have my bullshit hating friend. My wife and her family talk like that all the time. My oldest sister married her oldest brother a few years after we got married and now my sister is picking up on the accent. cest l'vie mon frere.
