There are 1.1 billion people worldwide who do not have access to clean drinking water. This is causing thousands of people to die daily.
Access to clean drinking water is a major problem in many of the villages where we actively work. Placing a well within a community eliminates the long distances that people -- women in particular -- need to travel for clean water for drinking, cooking and bathing.
World Hope International (WHI) is dedicated to meeting these water needs by drilling wells. Currently, WHI is drilling in Cambodia, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Zambia.
Available water supply also supports food production and prevents hunger, malnutrition and starvation.
