Yeah this was a time when young Americans wouldn't think twice about putting on that uniform to defend this country and all it stands for. John Wayne says what I would expect a rich white guy to say about his rich white daughter back then when his daughter had no legal recourse if her boss made a pass at her & fired her for saying no.
