  • Now you know why we need more illegal immigrants to work on our California roads and highways, to subsidized cost of the burden of hospital cost. Also think of the higher cost of policing those high crime risk areas that are populated by the illegits.

  • Yeah, dude. Public services including education are not free. Education are competing against other services that are vital to California economy that including but not limited to such as postal, water and trash, police and firefighter, hospital, roads & highways, etc. You want a good education, you got to pay. How much are you paying a semester anyway? huh? 10 grands? it ain't bad.

  • We want to raise fees towards our students(This nation's future), YET the state of CALIFORNIA ALONE, has contributed over 90billion dollars to the WAR That, that bumbling joke BUSH waged against IRAQ! I guess that administration thought WAR was more important then this nation's EDUCATION!

  • In the global economy, education doesn't matter. Technology, research, and minds can be bought from anywhere on the globe. The U.S. just has to print dollars to get it from the less developed world. It is a lot cheaper than investing at home. For example, like building a factory or manufacturing plant in the U.S., or a college or university in the U.S.A..

  • Why are not students protesting anti-tax legislators. Let's work to overturn Prop 13, let's ask students and their parents to support bonds and revenue sources to increase monies to education, not only UC, but all levels of education. The Regents, this time around are as much the victim as UCLA students. To blame the Regents is convenient, but short-sided. Am I not right?

  • "The government don't care about education."

    That was really funny.

  • Great job Miss Nowlin! Keep up the good work.
