@robo1945 "The Nordic countries make up a region in Northern Europe and the North Atlantic which consists of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and their associated territories [...]" -wikipedia
first link when googling "The nordic countries"... So don't say you did something when you did not and you can easily get caught.. makes you look like a complete idiot ;) Just a tip.
-
@Sambbraz lol I did, but finland wasnt there lol
-
@robo1945 Should try googling "the nordic countries" lol
-
@robo1945 Ohh this again. "Nordic" is not even an ethnic group. You can't really define it.
Sure, our origins are theorized to be from Asia, Siberia in fact. Where is Siberia? Oh yeah, in the north. Doesn't change anything. Our ancestors were in the north and we are right now in the north. We live in an area that is part of the "nordic countries".
If you read this far, a few bells should ring in your head. I bet you can put 2 + 2 together no matter your education: we are "nordic".
-
@Akugagi it is boring discussion. You should just understand that nordic are "ex-vikings". Your origin is from asia so you are not nordic and scandinavian lol.
-
@robo1945 Ahh so now it's "let it be" when I outsmarted you, huh?
By my logic, Estonia is a "baltic state", and Finland is a "nordic country". If you need to remind yourself, google the quoted. The countries with "viking origin" are also known as scandinavia. Wow you're quite good at mixing up geographical and ethnic areas.
I don't understand why you are bringing vikings up all the time. We barely had anything to do with them as we had tribes of our own.
-
@Akugagi however by your logic even estonians and latvians are nordic because they are in the north. For other people nordic countries are known as that with viking origin. But let it be.
-
@robo1945 ... did you even google "nordic countries" before that statement? Why don't you do that right now and see the thruth for yourself lol.
Culturally, no, we are not part of scandinavia. Geographically it's debatable, as the Scandinavian mountains do reach Finland :p
