Modeled originally in Blender 2.48a and rendered with Blender 2.5. Finer details of face, arms, hands achieved using Blender's multi-res sculpt tool (similar to ZBrush and Mudbox). No textures. Ambient occlusion set to 8. Finally got wireframe renders to look nice by using a 500% increase in resolution from 1280x720. Close to 6K renders. Used sequence editor to scale back down to standard 720p.

  • Do you make this as one solid mesh or is it multiple meshes (i.e. one for the head, one for the body, two for the arms, etc.) I need a little help with bigger meshes like this

  • @TonyORebel: Body is one solid mesh, and gear/clothing pieces are separate meshes.

  • @PonderStudios

is the alien body removed cuz it already covered by clothing..??

  • @azmilarash96 : For this model, his body still exists under the clothing. Body was modeled first and then clothing pieces were tailor-modeled on top of his body.

  • i need help how do you make it so its like :17 with the grid on the model?

ive tried on rendering it like it but its only wire

what is this called and how do i do this?

  • @jerkyace25 : google "blender cookie wireframe overlay" for an excellent video tutorial by Jonathan Williamson. Hope this helps.
